Parking: all parking will occur at the James Taylor Park adjacent to Newport on the Levee. This park is located at the mouth of the Licking River, on the Newport side.
From Cincinnati: Take I-471 South to the 1st Newport exit and go straight through the light and make a left after you drive through the levee. James Taylor Park is approximately half a mile down river. You will enter this area through the floodgates at RiverBoat Row and go left to the park.
From Kentucky: Take I471 North to the last exit (Route 8, Newport/Bellevue), turn left at the light and turn right at RiverBoat Row. James Taylor Park is approximately half a mile down river.
Carpool, this will give you time to discuss strategies and also make sure that you all arrive together on time.
The Freedom Challenge begins at 9:00 am. You should be parked one hour early! The event will not wait for your team to start. Being there an hour early will allow you time to stretch and hydrate. In addition you will be issued t-shirts, paddles and lifejackets.
